Refund Policy

Effective 8 May 2026

14-day cooling off

New subscribers can request a full refund within 14 days of their first paid charge under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. The one exception is that if you have used more than 50 questions from your paid plan in those 14 days, we treat the digital service as substantially performed and the right to withdraw no longer applies. We'll always look at borderline cases on their facts.

Pro-rated refunds outside the cooling-off period

We do not pro-rate refunds. If you cancel mid-period, your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that, paid app access ends unless another entitlement is active.

Annual plans

For annual plans, the 14-day cooling-off rule applies to the first annual charge. After that we will refund unused months on a goodwill basis if the cancellation is for one of the following reasons:

  • We materially changed the service in a way that reduced its value (with at least 14 days' notice).
  • A documented service outage exceeding 24 hours in a single billing month.
  • A duplicate charge or other billing error caused by us.

How to request a refund

Email billing@law-bud.com from the email you signed up with. Include your subscription ID (you can find it on your last receipt). We acknowledge within one working day and resolve refunds within five working days.

Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback through your card issuer instead of contacting us first, we may immediately suspend your account while Stripe investigates. Please reach out to billing@law-bud.com first — we'd much rather resolve it directly.
